like in thriller, but less coordinated

when my darling punch was pregnant with her little lamb i went to visit her for the weekend. she was in her first trimester so all she wanted to do was eat yogurt covered raisins and sleep. she was like "dude, wanna have a nap?" and i was like "heck yes i wanna have a nap!" so we made her husband eli bring the futon mattress downstairs and set it up for us on the floor in front of the tv. we watched the big lebowski and slept for 48 hours.

the point of this story is to illustrate my love of sleeping, and like most things i love, it is nearly impossible to attain. i think about sleeping all day at work and then when i get into bed at night my brain is like "no dice". instead it torments me with endless thoughts and ideas, good and bad, for hours and hours until i'm on the verge of hysteria. this is usually right around the time my alarm goes off and i want to die.

the result of this farce is me walking around like a zombie, barely functioning, and starving for brains. well, more like mr. bigs and root beer floats, but you get the idea.

short of forming my own fight club, i'm really not sure what to do. any ideas?

Not sure if you'll like this suggestion, but a good work out really helps. Especially weights classes. Try not napping after one of those.

A couple glasses of vino blanco before bed is nice too...

for some reason the vino sounds a lot more appealing...

agreed. I'm following my own advice right now.

i'm not being funny... find a job you can do at night and sleep during the day. it's a real suggestion.

and all we did was look at clippings and breifly discuss how easy organzing them by category made collaging...
