even though i'm "technically" young, my body feels about hundred years old. this is likely due to a combination of 1: not sleeping since the late 90s. 2: eating half of one serving of vegetables per week. 3: my preferred exercise being complaining. 4: my thyroid being dead. and as a result of these factors i usually feel like a bag of death.
one of the main issues contributing to my general malaise is that i can't eat anything without feeling sick. like, ANYTHING. i've been terrified of getting this checked out because i really don't want to be told i can eat only lemon water for the rest of my life, but i feel like if i don't find out what the problem is it'll probably get worse. SO, because i'm trying to be a responsible adult i've made appointments with an allergist, a gastroenterologist, and i'm working on a referral to an endocrinologist. that's a lot of ologists. hopefully one/all of them can tell me what's causing the problem and what i can do to fix it.
feeling better is going to be (one of) my birthday present(s) to myself. i know i have to eat better (i hate it). i know i have to exercise (fuck). and i know i have to RELAX (impossible), because i'm pretty sure that my inability to manage stress is fucking up my shit like nobody's business.
happy almost birthday to me,
love so pauvre

Happy Birthday & I am pretty darn sure you can make those changes! I hope all goes well at the various doctors and they can give you some answers :D
Also 11/11/11 - it just HAS to be lucky!
Happy Birthday!!!!
You're my favorite bag of death!
All kidding aside though. We're getting you help sweetie. One step at a time. You know I'm behind you no matter what changes you/we need to implement. Everything is easier with a partner.
Not gonna lie, that's not the coolest present to give yourself but it is the best one. I think it's a great idea for you to go see an endocrinologist if you're thyroid is basically non-existent. I had mine removed 2yrs ago (diagnosed w/Graves Disease) & I was constantly sick before then. Couldn't eat a thing without it wanting to come out either end (tmi?). I finally got it under control & now I'm eating like a champ ;)
Good luck sweets!
you can doooooooo it!!!! i know you can! yea that is a lot of doctor appointments but totally for the best my love. take little itty bitty steps and you will get there and we will all be here cheering you on! happy early birthday!! oh by the way sent your card :D hope you like it! mine was perfect and now sits on my desk!
xo,
cb
fyi i put your card to me on my mantle which means i clearly like you more than cb who just put it on her lame desk :) I have prepared myself for the detox post by compiling a list of a million ways to say You Rock. Bring on the madness!
I'm leaning towards the "best present ever" side. I hope your doctor visits are positive ones, as we've discussed here before that is not always the case. I don't have food allergies, but I've had friends who once they eliminated x from their diets felt a ton better. Hopefully it's something like that for you too. And good for you for taking care of yourself.
Happy early birthday, lady!
i'm quite please the ologists are looking into it. i feel good about that.
