sorry about all the tumbleweeds blowing through here last week - it's pre-christmas madness at work - so all i want to do when i get home is roll myself into a duvet burrito. i would probably still be in there slowly sweating to death if nid hadn't come to visit... so hooray for nid!

yes, that's a tiny, tiny pot of vaseline lip balm. and yes, nid's pretty excited about it.

i had to work over the weekend, which was garbage, but we still managed to squeeze in several trips to starbucks, shopping, and nid's first dinner at red robin!

i'm so sorry arteries. you've had a rough week...

now that i'm banned from soy, i had no choice but to swap my usual boca burger for juicy, delicious beef. so many sacrifices...

my beloved, seasonal gingerbread milkshake is back at red robin. this year they've decided that adding a shot of jim beam is an option... get thee behind me satan!

sadly nid's climbin' tree is still in several pieces in the backyard, so there was no nidnastics this time. she did a few lunges with me on her back instead. so little, yet so mighty.


i've been very spoiled over the last two weeks with birthday treats, surprises, and two special visitors - i can't say thank you enough! so far 31 has been pretty great, and i hope that it's just the beginning of the best year yet!
