when your life is on tv

parks and rec hit home this week when andy, after suffering a mild concussion, has a so pauvre-like visit to the doctor:

doctor: anything else bothering you?

andy: i've got a weird rash in my knee pit area. and my tongue on this side doesn't taste anything anymore. sometimes when i walk my ankles make, like, a weird rattlesnake sound. what else? things that are far away from my eyes are fuzzy. i once ate a twix with a wrapper on it, and i've never seen the wrapper come out. also, i've swallowed every piece of gum i've chewed for the past 25 years. i don't know. i broke my thumb on the way over here...

andy's doctor then refers him to several ologists:

even though andy is a fictional character, i feel comforted that i'm not alone in my quest for wellness.

i have two more ologist visits and a dentist appointment in the next two weeks, then i'm just going to apply for med school.

love so pauvre

Never seen the show. Also, did you swallow the Twix wrapper on purpose?

Or you could just run out before paying, but you'd probably just crash into an ambulance anyway.

Speaking of doctors, did I tell you about my new hobby? I apparently now have asthma but sooo can't afford the prescription, so I think I'm going to start going around to a new walk-in clinic every couple of weeks, plead my case and get a free sample puffer! Brilliant, no?
